01 Apr Variety Takes the ICE

Thanks to the help of the Winnipeg Ice, 6 Variety families had the opportunity enjoy an incredible night out and to watch the Winnipeg Ice contest the Calgary Hitmen in a 4-0 win for the Ice. Our Variety kids also had the chance to interview players and ask them some questions about their favourite movies, pastimes, and more! These interviews were displayed on the jumbotron during the game. Well done to our reporters Sul, Jayce, Ahmed, Brooklyn, and Ivanette!

Two of the Variety kids were also involved in the pre-game events, Ivanette and Jayce! During the Ice pre-game Ivanette skated as an ambassador for her sister Ianess who is living with global developmental delay. Jayce, who is living with ADHD dropped the puck for the ceremonial puck drop ahead of the match!
