14 May Variety Manitoba wins International Heart Award

Winnipeg, MB. – Variety – The Children’s Charity of Manitoba today announced that it is the recipient of a 2018 Heart Award – being recognized globally as the best operating mid-sized Tent by Variety International. This represents the second time in the last three years that Variety Manitoba has been bestowed this prestigious honour.

“We are absolutely thrilled to share this honour with the children and families we serve” stated Jeff Liba, CEO. “By allowing us to share their stories and how Variety Manitoba was able to assist them, it inspires us as staff, volunteers, and supporters to create a brighter, more inclusive and accessible future for Manitobans. The Heart Award represents the pinnacle of achievement within Variety International. It recognizes consistent growth and excellence over a three year period in programming as well as diversity and sustainability of funds raised. An independent judging panel including a representative from a global accounting firm adjudicates the selection process.

Variety Manitoba is an organization dedicated to meeting the unmet needs of children living with special needs or impacted by economic disadvantage. It is 100% reliant on the community to deliver its programs and services and does not receive operational funding from government or the United Way.
